Ebio utilizes microbial and photosynthetic systems to convert
biomass wastes and sunlight into biofuels for the energy needs
across industries, from aerospace to commerce and residential. We
explore new technologies, new applications of existing technologies,
and new markets worldwide.
Most of the over 200 ethanol producers are located in the Midwest
region of the U.S. Their low profit margins are remedied by federal
incentives. Mandate for corn ethanol has been capped at 15 billion
gallons per year while cellulosic ethanol is projected to increase in
production from 1 billion currently to 21 billion gallons per year by
2022 based on current mandates.
